Enzo's Monthly Fav - 5 Months

Friday, December 21, 2012

At 5 months, Enzo loves his Lamaze clip on toys.  His favorites are the Captain Calamari and the Peacock.

He is always chewing on these two guys.  The only down fall to the Captain Calamari is the hard ball it has.  Enzo always manages to swing it around and hit himself with that.  I have seriousl considered cutting it off.  Poor guy gets his feelings hurt :(

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 4 Months

Thursday, November 22, 2012

We started feeding Enzo cereal when he turned 4 months.  I quickly found out that he didn't like cereal, but everyone said to keep trying.  I feed him cereal every night for 2 months, never liked it.

I did find out that he would take more (just a few bites) if he was in his Fisher Price "My Little Snuggabunny Bouncer".  As long as I could get the bites in between bounces, it worked out great.

We used the bouncer from his first week on, but it wasn't until 4 months that Enzo learned when he moved it moved, so he would go to town in it!

He would never get fussy in it, so it was a great staple in the kitchen.

Highly recommend it!

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 3 Months

Monday, October 22, 2012

Enzo loved his Bright Starts Spots and Stripes Safari Gym.  He would lay there for a long time as long as the cat was playing music and flashing lights.  He coudn't take his eyes off of it.

He started rolling over front to back back to front round this time, so I would constantly have to go move him back. Haha.

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 2 Months

Saturday, September 22, 2012

At 2 months old in September with tons of daylight, Enzo and I took a ton of walks.  Multiples per day.  He loved it.  He was happy as can be in the stroller, as long as it was moving :)

We actually have two strollers, one matches our carseat The Chicco Cortina Travel System in Romantic (grey/black).  This one I keep in my car for those spur of the moment trips to the mall, etc.

The other stroller I found for cheap at a resale shop and couldnt resist.  This is the Chicco Cortina Stroller in orange/grey.  This one is perfect for leaving in our mud-room for quick trips to get the mail, etc.

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 1 Month

Wednesday, August 22, 2012

I thought it would be cool to tell you what Enzo's favorite thing of the month was for his first year.

For his first month, he was never far from his Avent Pacifier.  The hospital gave it to him when he was circumcised :(.  It provided a lot of soothing for him.

Enzo's Nursery

Friday, June 29, 2012

When I found out I was pregnant, I couldn't help but plan the nursery.  I knew exactly what I wanted.

Matt didn't care, so I have full reigns.

I knew I wanted a gender-neutral nursery that we could re-use with each child.  Here are some pictures with details on where everything came from, hope you enjoy:

The bedroom was already chocolate brown and had my old furniture from before we were married.  One thing you will learn from me is that I love a good deal, garage sales, craigslist, etc.  I get that from my mom.  Love taking something old and making it new to me.

The crib is from craigslist, night stand and bed is from my old set.  I found the crib fabric at Hancock's and had the bumper, skirt and pillow (on the bed) made custom.

Above the bed is a charcoal painting of me using my father's blanket.  On the bottom right is a picture of Matt when he was a toddler, then some printouts I found searching on pinterest.

The chair is perfect for bedtime stories.  I have had the chairs for awhile, given to me from dear family friends.  They are old, originally stained dark brown and had a pinkish fabric. My mom spray painted this one white and I had both re-covered in the khaki fabric.  You have probably seen some pictures of Enzo in the matching one that isn't painted.  We keep it in another room.

Above the chair is my father's charcoal painting with the same blanket.  We plan to do the same with Enzo.

Since Matt is from New York, I always try to incorporate parts of his heritage.  I loved this canvas of the flat iron building that i picked up at Ross.  The toy basket is also from Ross.

This was my desk as well from when I was younger.  I was afraid it was a little feminine, but I'm pretty sure Enzo doesn't care!  I just hated to get rid of one useful piece when we were using the matching night stand and dresser (which we put in the closet to save room).  Yes, you are seeing it right....I let me husband convince me that he needed a TV in the nursery for the late night feedings.  Haha.

I love how the nursery came out.  The gender-neutral colors make it feel very relaxing and calm.  Here is a picture of Enzo the day we brought him home from the hospital, first time in his bed:

If you have any questions on where I purchased or what I did to anything, please let me know!

I hope you enjoy Enzo's nursery as much as I do.
