Matt is home!

Monday, February 25, 2013

After two weeks and 1 day, my sweet hubby is home to us.  For some reason this trip seemed much longer than 2 weeks.  I think it was because Enzo had a big milestone while he was gone; his two bottom teeth.

We spent the weekend being lazy and visiting with family.  Here are some pictures:

Enzo and I hung out at my Mom's house on Friday night before Matt landed at the airport.  My aunt and uncle were up from East Texas, so of course there were lots of fighting over the babe!

Enzo drooled a lot this weekend, which makes me think that perhaps we are cutting some more teeth?  Good thing he is a happy baby through it all.

This picture aso shows his puffs.  Enzo has found a new love!  We have to be careful with the puffs, like not to introduce them before the real food or he will reject and just want more puffs!  He can't get enough of them!

We lounged around Saturday morning, Enzo is working on his crawling any chance he can get.  I caught him a couple times this weekend on his hands and knees rocking, so we might be getting close!

Enzo and I took a nap together, which is always nice.  I love having an excuse to take a nap during the day!  Enzo's hair has lightened up so much since he was born.  I am starting to think that we might have a blonde son by the summer.  There are a lot of blonde strands on the adorable little head.

We walked around the mall a little bit and enjoyed people watching.
Enzo loves to put his blanket in his mouth.  I think a lot of this comes from the teething.
Saturday evening we went to my Mom's again and had dinner with my aunt and uncle.
Sunday was another lazy day for the most part.  Enzo helped me change the sheets :)
Enzo loves to touch his new teeth with his tongue.  It is the funniest sight!
Not the best pic, but you can see those little teeth are getting bigger!

Hope you all had a great weekend.

All pics were taken with my iPhone.

Embrace the Camera

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I was sick yesterday, so a picture a day late will have to suffice.

The lighting and clarity is not the best.  The picture was taken with my iPhone, using the CameraTimer app and edited with Instagram.

Here are a few other outtakes from this morning:

Over at The Anderson Crew, every Thursday is embrace the camera, which encourages you to get in the picture with your fam.

Not sure what took me so long, but I have just joined instagram.  Love it!

I feel like it gives me permission to take 100 pictures a day and share them with everyone :).

3 Days

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Yesterday was a company holiday for me so I had a lovely 3-day weekend with Enzo.  Matt is still traveling, so it was just me and him, well and Moxie girl of course!

Here are some pictures from our 3-day weekend:

We had dinner with family on Friday night at Applebee's.

Enzo grew out of his PJs overnight, so we had to channel his inner guido :).

Took Enzo's monthly pictures on Saturday morning in our usual spot.  I will post later the previous months to get your caught up.  It is so neat to see how much he grows.

Lots of snuggle time....

Practice with the sippy cup.  Aunt Toyia helping Enzo learn how to work the sippy cup.  We have a long way to go since he doesn't even hold his own bottle, but I thought it would be good to get him introduced.

The most exciting thing to happen over the weekend is that Enzo's two bottom teeth finally broke through enough to get a view.  He was so hard to take a picture because he can't keep his tongue off of them!

Went for a nice long walk on our 70 degree day.

Enzo woke up feeling a little crummy, but I thought it was his teeth.  Throughout the day on Sunday, he started to feel worse.  This picture sums up how he felt :(.  Poor guy.

Monday we made a visit at the Doctor's office, where he said Enzo probably never got over his cold, so he gave him a stronger dose of antibiotics.  Then we went home and snuggled the rest of the day.

Even though he is sick, he has a hard time not hamming it up for the camera!

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe weekend!

Embrace the Camera - Valentine's Style

Thursday, February 14, 2013

So, over at The Anderson Crew, every Thursday is embrace the camera, which encourages you to get in the picture with your fam.  This is so important because when you are the main photographer, you rarely get in the picture.  Sometimes it makes me sad that I don't have pictures of me and Enzo like some people do.

Although these pictures will be taken by myself, I will do my best :)

Here is one from this morning. I wasn't lookimg my best and the picture wasn't very clear either, so it is what it is!

Picture taken with my iPhone and edited with Camera+

Matt is traveling, so Enzo is my sweet Valentine today.  I did have a sweet, early surprise yesterday with a dozen roses delivered to by office from the hubs.  He is so sweet!

Enzo got to get his Valentine's gifts early this morning, so he could play with them at his daycare.

On a side note, I had a fun after bath photo session with Enzo last night.  Got a few good ones :)

Picture taken with iPhone, edited with Camera+and made into a card with Red Stamp.
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

7 Months Old

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today I am wishing I had started this blog sooner.  I would have loved to do document by wonderful pregnancy with Enzo and his sweet arrival.  So, a little reminiscing today as our sweet boy is 7 months old.

As a migraine sufferer, pregnancy was the best thing I have experienced as it magically cured my migraines!  So, I always felt amazing.  It is truly a gift to be able to grow a tiny human in your belly.  Words could never express the joy.

Here is my belly just two days before Enzo arrived:

Everyone was betting that he was going to be a big baby, but I knew he wasn't.  I had a feeling a lot of that belly was because of my love for Chick-fil-A.  Haha, I was right.

I went into labor in the wee hours of July 11th, which was Enzo's due date and our scheduled induction date.  So, we headed to the hospital as planned around lunchtime.  Well, Enzo was in no hurry to make his grand appearance, so we waited, and waited.  This was us as we got settled in our room:

Then on July 12th at 8:30 in the morning the doctor checked me and said she felt a butt.  That is right, a butt.  Enzo was trying to crawl back up!  So, because he was folded, I had to have an emergency c-section.

At 9:19am, July 12th, 2012 I heard the first cries of our son.  Truly a miracle!  He was healthy at 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/4 inches long.

All the nurses were amazed at how alert he was.  He did not sleep the whole first day!  He was so content and taking in everything.

To avoid making this post a mile long, I will get to where we are now..... Enzo is 7 months old today! He is a happy and healthy boy that still doesn't sleep much.  He is working on his bottom teeth, I expect them to pop out any day now.  He doesn't sit still, constantly rolling around and pushing up on his feet.  He will be crawling very soon!  He loves to clap and working on his wave.  Here is a picture of him this morning in his adorable Gymboree outfit, taken with my iPhone.

East Texas Fun

My mom and I are originally fom East Texas, so all our extended family is down there.  My mom makes a trip down about every 2-3 weeks, so Enzo and I like to join when we can.

The newest addition to the family is my cousin's daughter, Grace (one month old).  So funny how quickly you forget how little they are!

This was before leaving Saturday morning.  I just love this adorabe oufit from Old Navy.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend...  Since Matt is traveling for work, we were able to facetime him :)

My mom on the right with Grace and her sister on the left with Enzo.
Tiny Grace.
My Uncle facetime'n with Matt.
Snuggles on the bed with Uncle Gerald and Rivers.
My grandmother will be 94 in another month.  Love when they hold hands :)
On the way home Enzo started to get bored, so I hopped in the backseat to entertain him.  His blue eyes, just kill me.  Who would have thought that two brown-eyed people would have this blue-eyed looker!

First Haircut

Enzo's hair was starting to look a little straggly so we decided to give him a little trim.  Mine and my mom's hairdresser has two little girls so she has experience trying to get them to be still.

This was Enzo before (he had just woken up from a nap), notice his hair is close to getting in his eyes and over his ears.

Cool onesie from Old Navy.

This is the handsome boy with a nice clean trim:

He did really well, no fuss at all.  I think he found it very relaxing :).

I took pictures with my SLR, but haven't had the time to load them, so these are un-edited from my iPhone4S.

Lots of Kissin

Friday, February 8, 2013

An early Valentine's Day preview.  Had fun kissing the boy for this one!  Not so fun trying to get all the lipstick off!  Note to self: Don't use color last lipstick!

This picture was taken with my iPhone and used www.picmonkey.com to edit.
