7 Months Old

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today I am wishing I had started this blog sooner.  I would have loved to do document by wonderful pregnancy with Enzo and his sweet arrival.  So, a little reminiscing today as our sweet boy is 7 months old.

As a migraine sufferer, pregnancy was the best thing I have experienced as it magically cured my migraines!  So, I always felt amazing.  It is truly a gift to be able to grow a tiny human in your belly.  Words could never express the joy.

Here is my belly just two days before Enzo arrived:

Everyone was betting that he was going to be a big baby, but I knew he wasn't.  I had a feeling a lot of that belly was because of my love for Chick-fil-A.  Haha, I was right.

I went into labor in the wee hours of July 11th, which was Enzo's due date and our scheduled induction date.  So, we headed to the hospital as planned around lunchtime.  Well, Enzo was in no hurry to make his grand appearance, so we waited, and waited.  This was us as we got settled in our room:

Then on July 12th at 8:30 in the morning the doctor checked me and said she felt a butt.  That is right, a butt.  Enzo was trying to crawl back up!  So, because he was folded, I had to have an emergency c-section.

At 9:19am, July 12th, 2012 I heard the first cries of our son.  Truly a miracle!  He was healthy at 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/4 inches long.

All the nurses were amazed at how alert he was.  He did not sleep the whole first day!  He was so content and taking in everything.

To avoid making this post a mile long, I will get to where we are now..... Enzo is 7 months old today! He is a happy and healthy boy that still doesn't sleep much.  He is working on his bottom teeth, I expect them to pop out any day now.  He doesn't sit still, constantly rolling around and pushing up on his feet.  He will be crawling very soon!  He loves to clap and working on his wave.  Here is a picture of him this morning in his adorable Gymboree outfit, taken with my iPhone.

East Texas Fun

My mom and I are originally fom East Texas, so all our extended family is down there.  My mom makes a trip down about every 2-3 weeks, so Enzo and I like to join when we can.

The newest addition to the family is my cousin's daughter, Grace (one month old).  So funny how quickly you forget how little they are!

This was before leaving Saturday morning.  I just love this adorabe oufit from Old Navy.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend...  Since Matt is traveling for work, we were able to facetime him :)

My mom on the right with Grace and her sister on the left with Enzo.
Tiny Grace.
My Uncle facetime'n with Matt.
Snuggles on the bed with Uncle Gerald and Rivers.
My grandmother will be 94 in another month.  Love when they hold hands :)
On the way home Enzo started to get bored, so I hopped in the backseat to entertain him.  His blue eyes, just kill me.  Who would have thought that two brown-eyed people would have this blue-eyed looker!

First Haircut

Enzo's hair was starting to look a little straggly so we decided to give him a little trim.  Mine and my mom's hairdresser has two little girls so she has experience trying to get them to be still.

This was Enzo before (he had just woken up from a nap), notice his hair is close to getting in his eyes and over his ears.

Cool onesie from Old Navy.

This is the handsome boy with a nice clean trim:

He did really well, no fuss at all.  I think he found it very relaxing :).

I took pictures with my SLR, but haven't had the time to load them, so these are un-edited from my iPhone4S.

Lots of Kissin

Friday, February 8, 2013

An early Valentine's Day preview.  Had fun kissing the boy for this one!  Not so fun trying to get all the lipstick off!  Note to self: Don't use color last lipstick!

This picture was taken with my iPhone and used www.picmonkey.com to edit.

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 6 Months

Thursday, January 24, 2013

We started solid food at 6 months for Enzo.  I make it all myself.  The mesh feeder allows for you to put nything in there that he can suck on without choking on.

His favorite thing in the feeder is bananas.  Loves!  I have tried other things like oranges, apples, etc.

The juicier the thing that you put in the messier it is, so watch out!

I got Enzo's feeders at Target.

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 5 Months

Friday, December 21, 2012

At 5 months, Enzo loves his Lamaze clip on toys.  His favorites are the Captain Calamari and the Peacock.

He is always chewing on these two guys.  The only down fall to the Captain Calamari is the hard ball it has.  Enzo always manages to swing it around and hit himself with that.  I have seriousl considered cutting it off.  Poor guy gets his feelings hurt :(

Enzo's Monthly Fav - 4 Months

Thursday, November 22, 2012

We started feeding Enzo cereal when he turned 4 months.  I quickly found out that he didn't like cereal, but everyone said to keep trying.  I feed him cereal every night for 2 months, never liked it.

I did find out that he would take more (just a few bites) if he was in his Fisher Price "My Little Snuggabunny Bouncer".  As long as I could get the bites in between bounces, it worked out great.

We used the bouncer from his first week on, but it wasn't until 4 months that Enzo learned when he moved it moved, so he would go to town in it!

He would never get fussy in it, so it was a great staple in the kitchen.

Highly recommend it!
